The story

A closer look.

This kombu cloth with the Welhelmina motif is a cloth produced in Kanatang in the period 1930-1945 and is a symbol of the Dutch kingdom which once colonized Indonesia and then the Sumba people told their history through ikat weaving. Cloth with the Welhelmina motif was only worn by the royal family, where during the Dutch colonial era, only the royal family could see Queen Wilhelmina's face through the Dutch coins given by the Dutch to the Royal Family in Sumba. I then recreated this cloth with a touch of different colors, there are colors contained in this cloth so that it differentiates it from the first cloth of that era.
